Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-09-16

Oak Mountain Ventures (oakmountainventures.com) is a labs program operated by Oak Mountain Digital LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). It is not SurveyRock, and using it does not create a SurveyRock account or affect one. This policy covers every early-access page under this domain and applies on its own — it does not reference or rely on any other company’s privacy policy.

01

What we collect

Just an email address, if you choose to leave one — to be notified when an experiment you’re interested in launches, changes status, or is discontinued. We collect nothing else on these pages: no account, no payment details, no survey responses, no tracking beyond standard, aggregate web analytics used only to see whether an experiment drew real interest.

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for that analytics, not Google Analytics — page views, referrer, and approximate location from IP. We deliberately configure it without cross-site tracking cookies, so nothing here follows you across other sites, and nothing here is linked to anything you do on SurveyRock or any other Oak Mountain Digital property.

02

What we do with it

We use your email only to tell you about the specific experiment(s) you signed up for. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside Oak Mountain Digital LLC, except a processor strictly necessary to send that email (a transactional email provider) bound to use it for nothing else. It is never shared with SurveyRock or any other Oak Mountain Digital property, and never used to build a profile across experiments without your separate, explicit opt-in to a general “let me know what you test next” list, if we ever offer one.

03

How long we keep it

Tied to the experiment’s own lifecycle: if the experiment ends without becoming a real product, every signup on that page is told the outcome once, by email, and the list for that experiment is deleted within 30 days of the page coming down. If an experiment graduates into a real product, your email carries over to that product’s own privacy policy and mailing list only under the consent language shown on the page at the time you signed up — never silently.

04

Your rights

Because we hold so little — an email address and which experiment it’s tied to — most of the following resolves in one email.

  • Access. Ask what we hold on you; we’ll tell you, in plain terms, within 30 days.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we’re required to keep something for a specific legitimate reason (for example, an unresolved legal dispute) — in which case we’ll tell you why, not silently ignore the request.
  • Correction. Ask us to fix it if it’s wrong — in practice, this means updating the email address on file.
  • Portability. Ask for a copy in a plain format: your email, which experiment it’s tied to, and the date.
  • Objection / opt-out. Tell us to stop emailing you about one experiment or all of them, at any time — every email we send also carries a direct way to do this.

These apply regardless of where you live. If you’re in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, they correspond to your GDPR rights (Articles 15–21). If you’re a California resident, they correspond to your CCPA/CPRA rights to know, delete, and correct — and since we don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there’s nothing to opt out of on that front.

To exercise any of these, email us (below). If you’re not satisfied with our response, EU/UK/Swiss residents can lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority, and California residents can contact the California Attorney General’s office.
